Abstract
This research was conducted at SD Negeri 15 Pemecutan in fourth grade whose students' ability to understand the learning achievement of science was low. The aim of this classroom action research is to find out whether experiential learning strategy by using 4 M principles can improve the students’ achievement in learning science.The method of data collection is the science achievement test. The method of data analysis is descriptive. The result obtained from this research is experiental learning strategy by using 4 M principles can improve students’ science learning achievement. This evident showed on the results obtained initially 62.10, in the first cycle to 76.00 and in the second cycle to 77.12. The conclusion obtained of this research is experiental learning strategy by using 4 M principles can improve students’ science learning achievement.

Summary
Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi yang pesat menuntut sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas, kreatif, dan berdaya saing tinggi untuk menghadapi berbagai tantangan pada era globalisasi saat ini. Pendidikan itu sendiri merupakan media pembekalan pengetahuan, pengalaman, keterampilan, dan penguasaan teknologi bagi siswa untuk berkarya secara inovatif, kreatif, dan tepat guna. IPA memiliki peranan yang strategis dalam perkembangan IPTEKS dewasa ini. Melihat kesenjangan antara harapan-harapan yang telah disampaikan dengan kenyataan lapangan sangat jauh berbeda, dalam upaya memperbaiki mutu pendidikan utamanya pada mata pelajaran. Peran guru yang penting dikembangkan adalah bagaimana menjadi pengelola yang menyiapkan materi pengalaman untuk dijadikan bahan kajian, pembimbing siswa untuk mengkonstruksi pengalaman yang ada agar bermakna, menjadi motivator yang baik untuk menumbuhkan dan menyuburkan semangat belajar siswa, dan sebagai evaluator tingkat pencapaian prestasi belajar yang berhasil diraih siswa.
