Abstract
1. PMR methods have been used to demonstrate the formation of electron-donor solvent associates with both the keto forms (through the CH groups) and enol forms (through the OH groups) of theβ-dicarbonylnitrocompounds. 2. to such basic solvents the position ofthe keto -enol equilibrium point in theβ-dicarbonyl nitrocompounds is determined by competition between the specific solvation of the two tautomeric forms.
