Abstract

A Male patient, aged 48 years, complained of increasing dryness and soreness of the mouth and throat, with difficulty in swallowing solids, for 7 months. There was constant discomfort in the pharynx and pharyngeal dysphagia. Momentary pain occurred and a feeling of obstruction on swallowing solid foods, both localised to the lower neck. There was also complaint of recent irritation of the skin in the region of mouth and nostrils.
