Abstract

A Zanzibari boy lies ill with cholera at the Chumbuni Cholera Treatment Centre, January 2010. The deployment of reactive vaccination campaigns have the potential to reduce the scale of cholera outbreaks and prevent suffering of vulnerable populations (see Reyburn et al., 10.1371/journal.pntd.0000952).
