Abstract
In a late Cenozoic sequence of marine strata, 600 m thick, at Mangaopari Stream, variations in oxygen isotope ratios of fossils and in relative abundance planktonic foraminifera are substantially in agreement, and indicate large fluctuations in sea temperatures from middle Pliocene to early Pleistocene times.
