Abstract

In this short essay, I consider where the process of navel-gazing takes me, how it leads me to others. In short, I offer a tale of how navel-gazing takes me away from self-absorption and makes others key to any self-reflection. I end by pledging my allegiance to navel-gazing and, more generally, to qualitative inquiry, for the work it accomplishes.
