Abstract
Polarized targeting and deposition of MT1-MMP is pivotal for metastasis. In this issue of Developmental Cell,Wang etal. (2017) reveal that a signaling molecule generated by phospholipase D2 drives deposition of MT1-MMP at the site of invadopodia formation and is critical for metastasis in a transgenic breast cancer model.
