Abstract
New platinum(II) and palladium(II) complexes, cis-[PtCl(DMC)(PPh3)2] (1·CH2Cl2) and trans-[PdCl(DMC)(PPh3)2] (2·2CHCl3), where DMC=1,3-dimethylcyanurate, were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 31P NMR and FAB mass spectroscopy. The structures of complexes are determined by X-ray diffraction and proved to have a distorted square-planar geometry around the metal ions. Both complexes exhibit a high stability in the solid state.
