Abstract

Flower-Shaped Pt as Adhesion Promoter for IrOx Nanoparticles A large-area platinum (Pt) nanocrystal serves as outstanding adhesion promoter for low-content iridium (Ir), demonstrating a low impedance, high charge storage capacity and charge injection capacity. The Ir/Pt composites exhibit excellent biosafety and chronic stability as reported by Qi Zeng, Tianzhun Wu, and co-workers in article number 2100965. This coating strategy shows great potential for neural interfaces, water oxidation and anti-microbial contamination, which will further extend to numerous applications in implantable/wearable bioelectronics, as well as green energy.
