Abstract
In article number 1900052, Saifeng Zhang, Jun Wang, and co-workers investigate the superior nonlinear optical performance and ultrafast dynamics of layered PtSe2 and signatures of the transition from semiconductor to semimetal. The evolution of nonlinear absorption and carrier dynamics with increasing layer thickness demonstrate the PtSe2's promising potential in nanophotonic devices, such as in infrared detectors, optical switches, and saturable absorbers.
