Abstract
The hydrosilylation of buckminsterfullerene with the oligomer poly(methylhydridomethyloctylsiloxane) produced a soluble, oxidation-resistant fullerene–siloxane copolymer, in which the siloxane oligomer is multiply attached to the C60 moiety by covalent Si–C bonds essentially encapsulating the fullerene cage.
