Abstract

The taxonomic and nomenclatural history, distribution and cultural requirements of Rhaphidophora glauca (Wall.) Schott (Araceae), an aroid liane native to the subtropical and warm temperate regions of the eastern Himalaya, are discussed; illustrations and a description of the species are provided together with a brief overview of Rhaphidophora in the eastern Himalaya.
