Abstract

Static and cyclic creep tests were carried out in copper single crystals oriented for single slip with the aim of investigating the cyclic creep behaviour under various applied stresses and testing temperatures. It was found that the strain burst occurrence depends strongly on both the applied stress and the temperature, the creep strain due to the strain burst increased with the increasing applied stress and temperature.
