Abstract
Plasmonic circuits are increasingly attractive from a practical point of view because they offer the possibility to fabricate extremely compact optical circuits. We show, through numerical simulations, that the range of applications of plasmonic circuits can be widened in order to incorporate integrated pulse shaping devices, which consist of periods of stubs attached to a slot waveguide. Pulse shaping is achieved via modulating differently the spectral components of the pulse in both amplitude and phase. The length of the stubs is the most effective parameter for waveform control.
