Abstract
Highly-oriented mesoporous silica thin film was used as a template to fabricate metallic meso-structures. Oblique angle deposition of gold on the thin film results in the discrete gold meso-gratings with rod-like islands aligning along the meso-cylinders of silica. The optical transmission of the gold meso-gratings is highly sensitiveto the polarization of incident light, reflecting its anisotropic morphology.
