Abstract

Since 1977 there has been an organized cooperative venture in Canada with regard to Hemophilia Care. Involved have been the Canadian Hemophilia Society, Canadian Red Cross and Government. Our paper outlines the development of the regional centers in the country and the process for data accumulation. Data is provided outlining the types and amount of Factor VIII provision developed in the country and the method of distribution.Various undertakings have been initiated by the cooperating groups including the investigation of quality of product problems, educational symposia and the development of a long term program toward national self sufficiency.
