Abstract

An electrical model equivalent multi-tips corona discharge was presented. The electrical parameters were estimated by the identification method based on the recursive least squares (RLS) algorithm.The estimated electrical parameters allow to determine the total discharge power and the power delivered by all the tips to ignite and maintain the plasma discharge and thus the energy efficiency during the discharge. This study allows to follow and control the discharge at each instant of its evolution. Thus, the operating conditions of the discharge can be optimized to increase the energy efficiency of the discharge.
