Abstract
The rate of decay of the messenger RNA specific for the synthesis of peroxidase has been measured in sugar-cane stalk tissue using either actinomycin D or 6-methyl purine to inhibit RNA synthesis. The half-time for peroxidase m-RNA decay was 1 1 2 –2 hr.
