Abstract

Under the development of modern logistics industry, many logistics parks are in the planning stage or have been constructed. Because many logistics companies get together in the logistics park, a large number of vehicle parking issues will become an important problem while planning the logistics park's transport. Here, firstly, the author analyzed the factors of parking demands of logistics park, and proposed that land use and motor vehicle traffic is the main factor influencing the parking demands of logistics park; secondly, according to the features of land-use of logistics parks and characteristics of vehicles, a reasonable model of forecasting the parking demands has been given. Lastly, a method of parking lot scale of logistics parks has been proposed and verified with an example. Under the development of modern logistics industry, many logistics parks are planning or have been constructed. As a close relationship of the logistics and urban transportation, urban transportation is the key issue in logistics parks planning. Logistics Park, as a major cargo distribution center, attracts lots of vans and carriage trucks, and aggregates a lot of logistics enterprises. It results a series of vehicle parking problems. Planning of parking lots as an important part of logistics park transport planning, has a great impact on the park's operating management, internal traffic organization and static traffic in urban areas. It is also important to determine the scale of parking lots in logistics parks.
