Abstract
The growing number of people with a cognitive disability who are unable to count on the continuation of the informal care and in-kind economic benefits previously provided by their now ageing carers is an issue of concern. The main needs is to focus on planning needs and making legal provision to ease the transition which arises on the demise or incapacity of carers.
