Abstract

Due to various demographic facts England would be an ideal advanced country to pioneer with a national plan for family planning available to everyone. At present the availability and organization of family planning facilities in the country are unsatisfactory. Voluntary organizations have led in the effort; the National Health Service has lagged. The government should establish a policy supporting provision of family planning services to all at no cost. Training programs in family planning should be established for doctors nurses and auxiliary personnel to man the clinics. Small local clinics are made to recognize its responsibility in the campaign for family planning nationwide.
