Abstract

In recent years, energy planning is an important issue in terms of sustainability, insufficient energy resources and increasing energy demand in industries . Fuzzy multi-criteria decision making is used to determine energy supply systems. This study has focused on developing the multi-criteria decision support framework and determining optimal options for energy management in terms of energy used in the electricity production sector (EPS) by taking into account the interactions of energy and environment used in production sector. Energy management of the electricity production sector and the environment are examined by using game theory approach in decision-making process. Both the electricity production sector and the environment try to find optimal strategies in terms of managing energy policy. In this game theory approach, the aims of the electricity production sector player are to provide sustainability using fossil energy, renewable energy, waste energy recovery and nuclear energy use, while the objectives of the environment player are to ensure the sustainability of the environment. Fuzzy multiple criteria decision making problem with the Technique for Order Performance by Similarity to Ideal Solution is employed for the analysis of the strategies’ performance efficiency values and select the best. The results obtained from the pay-off matrix is compared with all cells and the equilibrium point is found to determine the most appropriate strategies for energy policies in the relationship between the electricity production sector and environment. Finally, according to the results of the pay-off matrix, the equilibrium point is found and this means that renewable energy use for the electricity production sector player and ecological balance sheet strategy for the environment player is the ideal solutions to determine the planning of energy policies.
