Abstract
A proximal femoral osteotomy used typically to correct increased femoral anteversion and/or a valgus/varus neck-shaft angle, is one of the most commonly performed operations in pediatric orthopedics. Surgeons with limited experience with the procedure often find conceptualization of the technique to establish the angles of correction and the decision regarding plate angle, difficult. This short article seeks to clear that confusion and describe the technique in 4 simple steps.
