Abstract
Summary In this paper a slip-line field solution is proposed for the drawing of metal between dies with a fixed radius of curvature and where there is no friction between die and material being drawn. A feature of the proposed solution, since there is no sharp edge on the dies at the exit, is that the material undergoes no sudden change in direction in this region during the drawing. The proposed solution, for which 20 per cent reduction has been chosen, is compared with some previously obtained experimental results.
