Abstract
A novel planar Gysel power divider with arbitrary power division ratio and its miniaturization has been proposed in this paper. It only uses one isolation resistor and increased band. The power divider uses one standard termination as isolation resistor, and it is very suitable for high power applications because of the reflected power from the output ports into the circuit is dissipated on the isolation resistor that can be connected to a heat sink outside the structure. The measured results of the three power dividers show more than 20dB isolation across 21% fractional bandwidth, better than 10dB return loss and less than 1dB amplitude imbalance between the two output ports. Moreover, the miniaturization power divider only occupies 20% area compared with the modified design.
