Abstract
A compact planar multiband MIMO 2×2 antenna for long term evolution (LTE) and wireless local area network (WLAN) application is proposed. The antenna is composed of two inverted F-shaped monopole that support two resonances at around 2.6 GHz and 5.8 GHz, which are reserved for LTE and WLAN application. The proposed antenna is fed using 50–0 line feed transmission lines. Return loss value has been observed, the achieved value is below −11 dB, for the impedance (real part) values are approximately 50–Ω. The prototype antenna is compact in size that can provide LTE and WLAN service application.
