Abstract

A plan of measurements of neutron capture cross sections for long-lived fission products (LLFP) is shown including details of measurement methods. To measure the thermal neutron capture cross sections of LLFP, especially those of 79Se, 93Zr, and 107Pd, a prompt gamma-ray spectroscopic system is developed, which is composed of two large Ge detectors surrounded by thick BGO anti-coincidence shields. To measure the fast neutron capture cross sections, two independent spectrometers, a NaI and a pair of C6D6 detectors, are used at different TOF facilities. The same LLFP samples are used for different experiments to make the crosscheck as simple as possible.
