Abstract
This brief article proves to be a cautionary tale about what might happen when you sell items on the Internet that you haven't bothered to research first. In this instance, it was a book with a questionable past which had on the cover a photograph of a person, the book having been photographed by the seller in order to create the Internet sales listing. The person on the cover of the book sued the seller's ISP claiming violation of her right of publicity, civil theft and invasion of privacy. This was after the sales photo in question was removed at the request of this same person. The author goes on to explain further the details the case.
