Abstract
Abstract The study was undertaken to locate the gravital line in relation to the various body segments…in particular, the ankle and knee joints. It is at these joints where there is a divergence of expert opinion on the location of the gravital line. The line was found to lie a mean distance of 0.95 cm. in front of the anterior border of the tibia at the ankle. In the majority of cases it ran through the patella, anterior to the acromion process and through the ear lobe. More study is needed on the location of the gravital line in relation to the head.
