Abstract

Abstract City Lore’s Place Matters program fosters places that nurture and support grassroots creativity and community engagement in an urban environment. This essay explores the diverse strategies that the program has utilized, beginning with its roots in the Endangered Spaces program of the late 1980s to its full realization as the Place Matters program.
