Abstract

Pituitary resistance to thyroid hormone(PRTH) is a kind of autosomal dominant hereditary disease. It is mainly caused by the mutations of the thyroid hormone receptor beta gene. The feature of labora-tory is elevated serum free thyroxine (FT4) and free triiodothyronine (TT3) with inappropriate TSH. 3,5,3'-triiodothyroacetic acid (TRIAC), D-T4, bromocriptine have been used in the therapy of PRTH, however, no radical cure has been found now.
