Abstract

In view of the results of Pitot tube velocity test are affected by the gas compressibility, this paper proposes a compressible gas velocity analysis method, and compared with the traditional Bernoulli speed analysis method. The Pitot tube velocity test in wind tunnel and uncertainty analysis are carried out to verify the validity and reliability of the proposed method. The results show that the uncertainty of dynamic pressure measurement is less than 0.11% when the flow velocity is 40 m/s, and decreases with the velocity value increasing. Correspondingly, the uncertainty of the measurement is less than 0.09%. According to the absolute value calculation, the uncertainty of flow velocity measurement above 10 m/s is less than 0.07 m/s, and above 40 m/s is less than 0.05 m/s, which is an outstanding test accuracy.
