Abstract

Nanostructured Copper Oxide In article number 2100049, a novel nanostructured copper oxide as an alternative to carbon black is demonstrated by Songtao Wu, Gunugunuri Reddy, Debasish Banerjee. This nanostructured copper oxide has specific prevalence of crystal facets, creating visually pitch-black material which yet selectively reflects near infra-red LiDAR detectable wavelength. This work opens new opportunities to use dark colored objects in future autonomous environment.
