Abstract
Background The article touched upon the actual topic of pipeline safety ensuring in permafrost soils areas. Due to the changing climatic conditions, the soil thawing occurs, resulting in pipeline supporting structures deformation. Under these conditions safe operation of pipelines can be ensured only by implementation of measures aimed at industrial safety ensuring. Aims and Objectives To analyze the existing methods of pipeline laying in permafrost soils and determine the most effective one. Results Technical solutions for pipeline position stabilization while operating during its subsidence on permafrost soils are considered. One of such solutions is a method of thermal stabilization of permafrost soils and a device for its implementation as a tool to ensure of oil and gas pipelines safe operation in permafrost areas. In the course of the analysis it was found that the method of soil thermal stabilization of the foundations of the pile foundations of pipeline supports has worse heat transfer characteristics than a similar method of thermal stabilization of permafrost soils and a device for its implementation.
