Abstract
Elastic unitarity is used to connect the pion electromagnetic form factor to the $\ensuremath{\pi}\ensuremath{\pi}$ Veneziano amplitude. A model for the form factor exhibiting this connection is obtained. It is in fair agreement with experiment.
