Abstract

Distorted wave impulse approximation calculations were performed for the (${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}$,${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$) reaction to isobaric analog resonances in a series of nuclei employing two types of transition densities. The calculations are sensitive to the types of transition densities used, giving substantially different cross sections in the two cases.NUCLEAR STRUCTURE Pion charge exchange to isobaric analog states.
