Abstract
Pion Angular Distributions in Pion Production off Nucleons Induced by Neutrinos and Electrons
Highlights
Pion production constitutes a substantial portion of the total events in neutrino-oscillation experiments
In Ref. [1] we prove that the origin of the parity violating D∗, E ∗ structure functions is in the interference between multipoles in the hadronic current that have different phases

We present a comparison of two microscopic models for pion production off nucleons by neutrinos and electrons, paying a special attention to the pion angular distribution in the final pion-nucleon center of mass system. Both models predict clear anisotropic distributions in contrast to the ones assumed in some Monte Carlo generators used in neutrino experiment analyses. A comparison with experimental data shows the relevance of having a unitary model to reproduce some of the observables
