AbstractElectricity (MIC: 7.1 SIC: 4911 NAIC: 221121)Pinnacle West Capital is a holding company whose principal asset is Arizona Public Service (APS). APS is an electric utility that provides retail and wholesale electric service to substantially all of the state of Arizona, with the major exceptions of the Tucson metropolitan area and about one‐half of the Phoenix metropolitan area. Through its marketing and trading operation, APS also generates, sells and delivers wholesale electricity. Co.'s other major subsidiaries are Pinnacle West Energy, which owns and operates generating plants; APS Energy Services, which provides competitive energy services; and SunCor, which is engaged in real estate development activities.
