Abstract

AbstractThe chromium‐doped tin‐based sphene (malayite) pink pigment was synthesized in different ways in the form of powder and single crystals. The usefulness of resonance Raman spectroscopy as a fast characterization technique for such ceramic pigments was evaluated with emphasis on the colour shift induced by second phases.
