Abstract
A thick stand of Pilularia, most probably Pilularia americana A. Br., has been found in the flat, gravelly bed of a shallow creek just off the southeast foot of Granite Mountain, about one mile west of Marble Falls in the Llano Uplift region of Central Texas. Apparently this is the first station that has been found in the State. The species has for years been known to exist in the West Coast region from California to Oregon and in western Arkansas and central Georgia.
