Abstract

Method A convenience sample of ten right-handed (five right lesion, five left lesion) stroke volunteers living at home attended for analysis of their reach-to-grasp movement and an assessment battery. Volunteers performed 40 reaches with the contralesional limb in an ABBA design, to their own familiar mug or a control cylinder. The kinematic landmarks were analysed (reaction time, peak acceleration, peak velocity, peak deceleration and movement time) with two-way Wilcoxon tests.
