Abstract

Permanent requests for automatization of routine processes and quality improvement of products are constant challenges for informational – communicational and operational technologies. Dynamic Line Rating (DLR) system is tool for dynamic calculating limits of OHLs load, implemented as a two - part pilot project. First part of project covers calculatings of dynamic ratings for current and possibility to display results on the DLR platform as well as on SCADA/EMS systems. Network architecture was designed and implementedted, virtual DLR server was configured, and remote user access was enabled through a VPN (virtual private network). Establishing communication between DLR and SCADA systems via IEC 60870-5-104 protocol preceded functionality of dysplaying ratings on the SCADA interface. The second part of the project was at the beginning COVID pandemic and covers installation of two sensors on the defined OHL with aim of improving result ratings of calculated limits. Data exchange among sensors and DLR server was realized through the data transfer service provided by mobile operator.
