Inadvertently and regrettably, the report omitted the name of the donor, who was my friend Dr. Glen Merry of Brisbane, Queensland. Dr. Merry is a distinguished pupil and former colleague of Dr. K.G. Jamieson [1925–1976]; he accompanied his donation with information on this historic instrument and its use by Jamieson in pioneering operations on basilar aneurysms. The gift was made with the approval of Dr. Scott Campbell, Director of the Kenneth G. Jamieson Neurosurgical Unit, Royal Brisbane Hospital, Queensland, Australia.
