Abstract

A method for the piezoelectric-resonance determination of gases under field conditions was developed. It is based on the use of a selective permeable filter in combination with time selection and repeated measurements of the sensor frequency. The proposed procedure significantly lowers the detection limit, improves the selectivity of analysis, extends the range of suitable adsorbents, and, to a great extent, separates the functions of sensitivity, selectivity, and reversibility in selecting particular adsorbents.
