Abstract

The stress-induced changes on the Z 12 exciton of CuBr are investigated at 1.8 K for P ∥ [001]. The polarization-dependent splitting is explained taking into account the deformation of the bands and the specific excitonic effects due to exchange energy and k-linear terms.
