Abstract
The paper contains a theory of piecewise-linear coordinates for spaces of transversely affine foliations on surfaces, which generalizes Thurston's theory of piecewise-linear coordinates for measured foliations. This involves a detailed analysis of the change of coordinates for the coordinates on the space of transversely affine foliations that are provided by train tracks.
