Abstract

Abstract The de-coupling property of a Proportional-Integral-Derivative Dual-Loop (PID-DL) originally unveiled by the author in the realm of speed drives and position servos is extended to a considerably larger class of processes (in particular: processes with a significant transport delay, or with a non minimum phase zeros). Applications to typical industrial processes illustrate the development.
