Abstract

Fiction emerges from a writer’s experience and imagination. It embraces the present, the past and the future and proffers values to hold on to as well as dreams to reach for. At its best it makes us look at life from a new perspective. A work of fiction is an imaginative narrative writing in prose. Believable characters, convincing dialogue and an interesting plot are among the essential ingredients of fiction.
