Abstract

Spontaneous luminescence due to band-to-band recombination of photoexcited hot carriers exhibits a distinct non-linear dependence on excitation power. Interesting time-correlation effects are observed for excitation with a double train of picosecond light pulses, when the photoluminescence is measured as a function of the delay time between the pulses of the two trains.
