Abstract

By exploiting advantages of ray tracking algorithm and useful functions of confocal microscopy, we propose a method to pickup and display reflective microscopic three-dimensional objects. The three-dimensional information of the reflective microscopic object is collected by a confocal microscopy and this three-dimensional information is used for calculating the elemental images based on ray tracking algorithm. Finally, the three-dimensional image of the microscopic object is reconstructed through a lens array by integral imaging technique. The experimental results are presented to verify the principle of the proposed method.
